Is there a such think as a good-looking trash can?—Kate, Middlebury, VT
Simplehuman Can If you don’t have the space for an inside-the-cabinet trash can and have to leave your waste receptacle on display, you gotta find a cute one. Doing so, however, can be tricky. The answer: simplehuman trash cans. They’re sleek, modern and are often mistaken for a cool accessory. They’re not cheap, but they truly keep odor out and will last forever, unlike those (ugly) plastic ones. My personal favorites are the swing top can and the butterfly recycler, which has twin buckets that make it easier to separate your recyclables ($149.99 and $99.99, www.simplehuman.com). I barely have the energy to put dinner together after a day of work. I need some quick meal-making advice. –Lauren, Rockville, MD
Mrs. Dash I try the best as I can to avoid making frozen dinners for my family—they’re fast and easy, but are packed with sodium and preservatives (and never leave me feeling full). For an easy dinner in a snap, begin by purchasing some chicken breasts and a salad in a bag. Before you leave for work or begin your day, throw the chicken breasts and some marinade (I love Mrs. Dash’s salt and MSG-free 10-Minute Marinades in Garlic Lime and Spicy Teriyaki) in a Ziploc bag. When you get home, throw the chicken on a grill pan (use a medium-high heat setting—I always create a ton of smoke if I grill them on high!) and make a salad, throwing in any extras you have hanging around the house (nuts, cheese, fruit, raisins, etc.) to jazz it up. Toss the salad in a low-cal store-bought dressing and you’ve got a healthy, delicious dinner in a snap. Who needs Rachel Ray? Mrs. Dash

I hate the scene at the gym, but I can’t motivate to work out at home. I need inspiration – help! –Piper, Sacramento, CA
I loathe working out, so I need something creative and fun to motivate me into doing it, too. I love the Fluidity Fitness Bar Method Workout, which incorporates traditional ballet poses and stretches done on a freestanding ballet bar. It’s super-convenient—the bar stashes under your bed and can be removed and unfolded for use with the corresponding videos right in front of your TV. The combination of yoga, Pilates and classic ballet moves creates a long, lean I-spent-all-spring-on-Dancing With the Stars kind of body. It sounds kind of like Pilates, but it’s different because unlike Pilates (when you lie down), you’re engaged in whole-body, weight-bearing exercise, integrating your upper body, your core and your lower body all at the same time. Its like grown-up ballet class, but cooler – especially since it will give you a kickin’ bod. For more information on the exercise system, visit www.fluidity.com. Fluidity
