TEE TIME
AT THE MHE GOLF CLASSIC, CHARITY IS PAR FOR THE COURSE
Golfers of all levels took to the greens of the beautiful Farmstead Golf and Country Club in Lafayette, NJ, for some
playful putting to benefit The Multiple Hereditary Exostoses (MHE) Research Foundation.
MHE is an inherited bone disorder in which a person develops benign tumors on their bones (most commonly in the
legs, arms, fingers, toes, pelvis and shoulder blades). Although some MHE patients never require any treatment, it's
not uncommon for other to undergo numerous surgical procedures throughout their lives in order to correct painful
or deforming exostoses (tumors).
Many of the event's golfers have been personally affected by MHE, either suffering from it themselves or knowing
someone who has the disease. It was this personal touch that made the day such a swinging success.
