THE FAMILY GROOVE JUST WANTS TO CELEBRATE
NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY'S HIPPEST AND HOTTEST WOMEN SHAKE THEIR GROOVE THINGS
AT A SWAG PARTY BENEFITTING THE CHILDREN'S CULTURAL CENTER AND CHASE FOR LIFE

spring fling boardOn Tuesday, May 1 at the Children's Cultural Center in Red Bank,
THE FAMILY GROOVE.com shook up the 'hood—parenthood, that is—
by treating 200 New York and New Jersey moms to a swag party that
brought the pages of its online magazine to life.

Fling, presented by Cocktails and Conversation, a NJ-based event planning and public relations firm, was ladies night done right. Laura Mercier upped the gorgeous factor with a complimentary beauty bar while local Red Bank psychic Pam Furlong of Moonstruck in the Galleria told fortunes and happy gals ducked into an old-fashioned photo booth to snap up pictures with their friends. Cask 591 of Long Branch served up savory hors d'oeuvres and decadent desserts, all paired with a delicious wine tasting courtesy of West End's Court Liquors who also offered bellinis and açai champagne cocktails. Celebrity chef David Burke even donated his world-famous GourmetPops to the delight of the crowd that eagerly scooped up some of the hottest swag this side of the Sundance Film Festival. The women were also treated to must-snag gift bags stuffed with goodies and more from THE FAMILY GROOVE's star advertisers like Angara, Tea Collection and A. Tierney.  A trunk show by kiddie couture store Bellie and Katrina of Red Bank and Hoboken was on-site to tickle the fancies of the many moms and moms-to-be.

In keeping with THE FAMILY GROOVE's commitment to its community, two area charities were showcased: the Children’s Cultural Center (CCC), a Branch of the Community YMCA, and C.H.A.S.E. for Life. A silent auction that included exclusive products and services, including a limited edition Graco stroller designed by fashion icon Cynthia Rowley, a dress by hot NYC designer Huminksa and a comprehensive fitness makeover package  from Mommy-Moves benefited both the Children's Cultural Center and C.H.A.S.E. for Life. A suggested $10 door donation benefited the Children’s Cultural Center.

THE FAMILY GROOVE is taking its wine, women and swag party on the road in 2008, so get ready to celebrate!
