ALYSSA'S ANGELS SET THEIR SIGHTS ON GIVING BACK
Alyssa Cantaffa was just three weeks old when she developed Pertussis (whooping cough), an illness that almost took
her life. Thankfully, Alyssa survived; however, the illness has left her mentally and physically challenged.
“We are very grateful that Alyssa survived her illness and that is why we started Alyssa's Angels—it's our way of saying
‘thank you’ and giving back,” says Casey Cantaffa, Alyssa’s mom and founder of the organization.
Alyssa’s Angels' mission is to help Monmouth County children living with disabilities lead happy and productive lives. On
the top of their list of goals, Alyssa’s Angels is now in the process of building a handicap accessible park in West Long
Branch on Parker Road for all children, regardless of their ability or disability. Alyssa's Angels also funds other kinds of therapeutic recreation as well as medical equipment for children in need.
Friends and family gathered to support the organization at the 3rd Annual Night Of Angels Fundraiser. With 500 people at Branches in West Long Branch on January 26, it looks like Alyssa's Angels is one step closer to creating a little slice of heaven right here on earth.
Alyssa’s Angels is in need of financial, labor, professional and public relations assistance to complete the handicap accessible park in West Long Branch.
