JINGLE ALL THE WAY
OH, WHAT FUN IT WAS TO RUN AT THE ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION'S 2nd ANNUAL
JINGLE BELL RUN/WALK
On December 9, supporters of The Arthritis Foundation jingled all the way to Bar A in Belmar. The festive runners
and walkers—in full holiday mode, complete with bells on, of course—took to the streets for the 2nd Annual Jingle
Bell Run/Walk.
“It takes the entire community to put this together. We are very grateful to Bar A. This is the 2nd year Bar A has
sponsored the event,” says Doreen Stiskal, PT, PHD, board member of The Arthritis Foundation and NJ Chapter
Acting
Chair of Physical Therapy at Seton Hall University.
The charity honored Eileen Zelch as its 2006 Arthritis Adult Hero. Eileen was diagnosed in 2003 with Osteoarthritis. The 2006 Arthritis Youth Hero is Aubrey Kopec, a 16 year-old who was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 13. Aubrey told THE FAMILY GROOVE that wants to raise money to help find a cure for arthritis and give kids
a better chance of improving their health in the future.
Arthritis is the nation’s number one cause of disability. The Arthritis Foundation is the only nationwide, non-profit health organization dedicated to helping people gain control of this disease by educating, prevention, control and finding a cure for arthritis and related diseases.
