THE JEREMY FUND'S 10TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL PARTY CALLS ON THE KINDESS
OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Tucked away in a cozy bungalow at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, family and friends gathered to support the Jeremy
Fund at its 10th Annual Christmas Cocktail Party.

Named in honor of Jeremy Remboski, The Jeremy Fund helps raise money for children who are stricken with cancer
and their families. Jeremy, who was just five years old when he was diagnosed with cancer, passed away on
November 26, 1995, just one week before his sixth birthday. For the Remboskis, tending to their child in the hospital
became a full time job. They made sure that Jeremy was never alone. With two younger children at home, the Remboskis worked hard to keep their family life as normal as possible. Through the constant help and support of friends and family, they knew that their children were loved and cared for while they traveled to and from the hospital day after day.

As happens in so many cases of prolonged illness, expenses ran high, giving the Remboskis one more unfortunate thing to battle. Shortly after Jeremy's passing, The Jeremy Fund was created to help lessen the burden of every day expenses for families in similar situations, so they can concentrate on their child’s health and wellbeing. Through donations and fundraisers, The Jeremy Fund currently benefits those in need of financial support at the Oncology Department of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Jeremy Fund has helped cover the staggering expenses associated with cancer and cancer care, including chemotherapy treatments, wigs, electric bills, telephone bills, car insurance and living expenses for families not local to Philadelphia. Sadly, The Jeremy Fund also helps families pay for funeral expenses.
